Breakfast & Lunch Spots

Most restaurants in Sonoma, Glen Ellen, and Kenwood do offer nice breakfast and lunch menus, but he following places are at their best for lunch. Reservations are not necessary.

Basque Boulangerie

AT A GLANCE: Well-loved and inexpensive local hangout for early morning breakfasts and lunches. It's billed as a bakery but it's really also a small deli cafe.

HIGHLIGHTS: Quick, fresh take-out or dine-in pastries, quiche, soups, salads or sandwiches. Pastries are good but bread is overrated.

BEST FOR: An early morning coffee and pastry at a curb-side table. Or grab a sandwich to eat in the plaza.

AT A GLANCE: Subtly elegant corner cafe right on the Sonoma Plaza that leverages the kitchen of the upscale El Dorado Kitchen.

BEST FOR: Best sit down breakfast in town! Where else might you find duck confit hash for breakfast? Nice lunch selections as well.
