Friday Morning Farmer’s Market

AT A GLANCE: Small, year-round weekly farmer's market on Friday mornings.

HIGHLIGHTS: Although not as large or as colorful as the Tuesday night farmers market, the Friday market delivers the goods. Drop by 9-12:30 to pick up supplies, have lunch or socialize.  It is located within a block of Sonoma Plaza in the Arnold Field parking lot.

BEST FOR: Stocking up on picnic supplies and produce.

AT A GLANCE: Old-fashioned barn and organic farm stand set on 70 pastoral acres in Glen Ellen.

BEST FOR: Stop by the 100-year-old Red Barn on your way up valley to see for your eyes one of the most beautiful farms and its amazing bounty. Great spot to find local artisanal products to bring home as gifts. Don't miss this gem!


The Patch

AT A GLANCE: Organic produce stand just steps from the town square.

HIGHLIGHTS: Two-acre organic garden that sells produce and 16 varieties of heirloom tomatoes harvested right on the spot just hours earlier.

BEST FOR: Tomatoes and onions. This makes a nice stop along the way if you are walking the bike path or are visiting Vella Cheese right across the street. Open May through Thanksgiving.

Tuesday Sonoma Farmers Market

AT A GLANCE: Weekly summertime farmers market right on the town square.

HIGHLIGHTS: This lively event doubles as an unofficial weekly town picnic. Organic produce, hot bread fresh from a portable oven, hot meals, crafts, nonprofit booths,  seasonal flowers, and live music.

BEST FOR: Come here for some local color and to enjoy a summertime picnic or stock up on supplies.
