BEST FOR: A weekend at the famous NASCAR SprintCup Series. RV camping both trackside and on 50 acres across the street. Don't forget your earplugs!
AT A GLANCE: Guided horseback tours through Jack London State Park.
HIGHLIGHTS: Gentle ride through gorgeous vineyards and redwood groves on well-trained horses. All skill levels welcome though group rides tend more towards beginners. Complimentary wine tasting ticket given for neighboring Kunde Vineyards.
BEST FOR: Combined with a visit to the Jack London Museum and park. Minimum age of 8 and weight limit of 210 lbs.
AT A GLANCE: One of the largest petanque (bocce ball) clubs in the U.S.!
HIGHLIGHTS: You might think you were Italy or Southern France judging from the intensity and number of animated bocce ball players who live in Sonoma Valley. Located in Depot Park just north of the Plaza.
BEST FOR: Adventurous travelers willing to join in. Free beginner clinics offered Weds at 10 and 4.
